"With over 30 years of experience as a prosecutor, defense attorney, and small business owner, Judge Brad Clark brings a balanced perspective and a common-sense approach to the Tarrant County bench."

Born and Bred in Fort Worth

Judge Brad Clark isn't just serving Tarrant County — he grew up here. A graduate of Carter Riverside High School, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Baylor University School of Law, Brad has deep roots in the community he now serves from the bench.

A Foundation in Victim Advocacy

After earning his law degree, Brad served for seven years as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Tarrant County. Notably, he was a member of the county’s first dedicated Family Violence prosecution team. This early experience provided him with a deep understanding of the complexities of domestic violence cases and the critical importance of victim safety.

Decades of Private Practice & Leadership

Following his time as a prosecutor, Brad founded The Clark Law Firm, managing a team of attorneys and serving the community in criminal law and child welfare. This dual experience—seeing the law from both the prosecution and defense perspectives—is rare on the bench and ensures that every case in Court No. 5 is handled with fairness and efficiency.

30+ Years. One Community.

With more than three decades of criminal law experience in Tarrant County, Judge Clark knows these courts, these communities, and these cases. He served as Chair of the Criminal Law Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association, where he worked to uphold the high standards of our local legal community.

A Champion for Mental Health Justice

For nearly 20 years, Brad has collaborated with judges, prosecutors, and experts to refine programs for offenders facing mental health challenges. As a Master in the Eldon Mahon Inn of Court, he remains committed to mentoring the next generation of legal professionals in ethics, professionalism, and professional conduct.

Tarrant County's Only Dedicated Family Violence Court

Criminal Court No. 5 is Tarrant County's sole dedicated Family Violence Court. Judge Clark's entire career — as prosecutor, defense attorney, and now judge — has prepared him for exactly this role. His record proves it. His community trusts him. And on November 3, 2026, Tarrant County can keep him there.
